Emmanuel Sheppard and Condon Fiesta Days Celebration
Thursday, June 3, 2010
The Emmanuel Sheppard and Condon Fiesta Days Celebration kicked off the 61st annual Fiesta Celebration on Thursday, June 3 with hundreds of guests in attendance. Historic Seville Quarter came alive with entertainment, decorations and delicious food in five rooms, each saluting our history under the flags of the five governments that have flown over our city - Spain, France, England, the Confederacy and the United States.
During the Emmanuel Sheppard and Condon Fiesta Days Celebration, Surrender of the City took place in Phineas Phoggs. Local dignitaries such as Mayor Michael Wiggins, Fire Chief Russell Beaty, Supervisor of Elections David Stafford, Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan, and Pensacola Naval Air Station Capt. Christopher Plummer surrendered the City of Pensacola and its citizens to DeLuna and his Queen for the Fiesta season.
